The Fox & the Otter

And the night they reminded Lincoln what Christmas is.

The Fox & the Otter (Hardback)

Eleanor Hancock (author, illustrator)

Hardback, 36 pages

Published: 18/12/2025

One November night, a fox and an otter were caught on CCTV wandering through the streets of Lincoln together.

Two unlikely companions, one out of the ordinary adventure, and a little moment of magic that captured hearts far beyond the city.

Inspired by that real-life encounter, ‘The Fox & the Otter’ is a beautifully illustrated Christmas story about friendship, quiet bravery and the comforting reminder that none of us has to walk through life alone.

Written and illustrated by Lincoln-based designer Eleanor Hancock, it's a story for children, grown-ups, and anyone who believes the smallest things can have the biggest impact.
